My mother has 80% blockage in her subclavian artery, the doc said he wanted to wait because doing surgery at this point might be too risky.  This was like in May of this year when he told her.

My question is for the past 2 weeks she is always tired she sleeps a long time at night, and wakes up tired has to take 2   2 hr. naps a day.  Does this mean that the blockage is getting worse?

The most common location of a subclavian artery blockage is at the beginning of the blood vessel as it branches from the aorta.  I am not sure why your Mother's Dr. is not recommending surgery at this time but I also do not know your Mother's medical history. 

I do not know what is causing the fatigue and I would suggest you encourage your Mother to see her physician for a medical screening exam if this is a new sx for her.

Kitt, thanks so much. She is stubborn and wont go to the docs cuz she is leaving to fly to Michigan on tues....I have been trying to get her to the doc, though.

You are very welcome.  I have a MIL that needs some testing and she is just "not going to have it done".  So I do know what you dealing  with.

Yup, stubborn parents....  I thought my dad was stubborn when he was alive but mother...OMG...and she is always right   go figure...HUMM   thought I was the one who is right...he he
