pounding heart syndrome?

I am 22 years old, and used to be among the most athletic people around. But after having muscle stimulation done several times across my shoulders, my heartbeat is very forceful, and I have extremely low tolerance for exercise. Literally, walking quickly to catch a bus, tires me out for the rest of the day! This has gone on for two years, and I'm beginning to think it's permanent. All the docs (including cardiologist) said everything is totally normal. Does anyone have suggestions?

Hello and welcome,

I am concerned re the muscle stimulation and wondering if you were using a Electronic Muscle Stimulator to tone your body ?

I do not have an answer for you re why your heartbeat seems so forceful and if the Cardiologist felt everything was normal I am wondering if you are under a lot of stress and anxiety?

Perhaps another member will have some info for you.
