Hello my name Steven. Im 53 yrs old and live in Southern California.
I have heart disease and copd. Had my first Heart attack at age 40. Had many blocked arterys. Had first by-pass surgery shortly after. It was a quad. Then 3 years to the day I had my secound heart attack. And shortly after had 2nd open heart surgery. They fix one by-pass and added 2 more for a total of 6 by-pass. through out the years Ive had numures heart attacks and stents implanted.....(Doctors wont perform graphs because of scar tissue on my heart). In 2008 I received a ICD (2 lead), In june of 2009 they replaced my ICD wit a 3 lead.....Help my EF by a few percent....18%-22%. On Sept. 23 2010 my ICD fired off.....didnt see it coming....got dizzy and started to black out when the ICD shocked me back. It was an eye opener to say the least.... Went to hospital and got checked out. It was because of V-tach. I was told that my ICD saved my life. Im so glad I decided to have the implant (I fought the idea at first). Anyway thats my story...and im sticking to it...lol. Im glad I found this site. Looking forward to meeting many in chat and forum
