Has anyone take generic metaprolol and it not worked well

just asking because i did some internet research on this generic and it seems some people don't respond well to it.  i take a very low does of hbp meds but each time i have tried this generic, i haven't had good results.  i am taking atenolol again now starting today and wondering if anyone else had this experience?
