After a recent annual examination my doctor advised me that my blood pressure was high. This was the first time it has been diagnosed. I am a 41 yo male, 5'11", 200 lbs. I exercise regularly and eat pretty healthy. I was shocked to hear his news to say the least.
I immediately purcashed a blood pressure monitor, cut salt almost completely from my diet at home and when dining out, lost 5 lbs and limited my alcolhol consumption to 2 drinks a day totally 6-7 drinks in a week. Still, the numbers are not going down. It has only been 3 weeks since my lifestyle adjustment, my question is how long until I see a change in my pressure? I am currently averageing 140/86. Anything else I am missing here?
