possible heart attack 24 hours ago does it matter now

I have a history of lung/heart problems. I frequently go into a-fib. Last time was 6 days ago when i had a cardioversion. Yesterday during a period of extreme extreme stress, I experienced a crushing chest pain. I had taken a nitro earlier for persistent chest pain and thought the pain was super bad heartburn. I had been quite sick to my stomach. But the sharp pain was worse. I wear oxygen regularly so i laid down for a while and the pain faded. I was extremely tired for the rest of the day but assumed it was stress let down.

Today I have had chest pain most of the day today except after another nitro.

Looking back i think there is a chance yesterday was actually a very minor heart attack.

My question is--now that i am 24 hours out does it really matter? Is there anything they would do? Or can i just wait until i get home next week and go see my cardiologist?

Any thoughts?

Yes!! A good friend had similar. Hospital ER released him after he raised a fuss about being admitted. A little nausea that afternoon and dead of a heart attack the following morning.

check me out and ordered a cardiolyte stress test. Hospital is refusing it though due to my wife's incredibly high bill. (She receives IVIG infusion monthly for her termial disease to the tune of $25,000 a month).

It was funny though. The doctor in reviewing my file said, "Since you haven't had a stress test since '07 and since that test showed you had a heart attack you need to get a new stress test".

The irony----I don't remember that I had a heart attack. I remember them saying i have a dark spot and some event had happened but I had forgotten it was a heart attack.

I think I spend too much time caring for my wife and maybe I should pay a bit of attention to my health.

At least if i drop dead of a massive heart attack after they refused me treatment, I'll bet they are quick to write off my bill and send my daughter to college.
