Help deciphering my Echocardiogram results from Monday.

Any help deciphering this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tricuspid Valve: The triscupid valve is normal. There is trace tricuspid regurgitation. Right ventricular systolic pressure is 20-25 mmHg.

Diastolic Function: Doppler derived data suggests mild left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. The average E/e' is 8.3. The LAVi is 14 m1/m2 consistent with normal left atrial pressures.

MMODE/ 2D Measurements & Calculations: RVDd: 2.1 cm, IVSd:1.1cm, LVIDd:4.0 cm, LVIDs:2.3 cm, LVPWd: 1.2 cm, Ao root diam:2.3 cm, Ao root area: 4.2 cm2, LA dimension: 3.2 cm, asc Aorta: 2.7 cm

Doppler Measurements & Calculations: MV E max vel: 83 cm/sec, MV A max vel: 86 cm/sec, MV E/A:0.96, MV dec time: 0.24 sec, Ao V2 max: 136cm/sec, Ao max PG: 7.0mmHg, LV max PG:3.0mmHg, LV V1 max:90 cm/sec, TR max vel: 204 cm/sec, TR max PG:17 mmHg,RVSPC(TR):22mmHg, RAP systole:5.0 mmHg

I am glad you reposted your thread. Deciphering the results of your Echo truly takes a cardiologist that understands what each value is and what any deviation from your previous test would indicate.

I am sorry the Dr. did not have time to explain to you the changes you noted and I would really like to see you hold him accountable for discussing the test results with you.

I suspect your readings from the previous Echo may differ from this new result and still be consider within normal limits.

I hope someone with more experience re Echos responds to you. Please know we care and I hope you keep on posting here in the forum.
