Hello everyone I am a newbie. I am looking forward to reading your posts and possibly learning of similar symptoms to myself.
A little background history.
I have had lupus for twelve years, well controlled. I have had two DVT's in the past and now warfarinised lifelong. I have had pericarditis secondary to my lupus a few times but no effusions.
Several years ago I started having palpitations, left shoulder and chest pain. Sometimes I feel as though I am going to faint or go really dizzy. I have had all kinds of tests done over the years and nothing apart from benign ectopics have shown up.
Last week the palpitations got so bad I went to see my GP who asked me to see the practice nurse to get an ECG. Today, the nurse phoned me saying she had looked on her computer and the ECG had shown signs of ischemia in the postural valve. She has made an appointment for tomorrow to see the doctor.
My father had heart problems and did end up having a heart bypass.
I am now worried sick there is something really wrong with me. I have just started back to work and now worried I might have to give up my job.
Does anyone know what this could possibly mean. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thnak you in advance.
