Finding a good cardiologist.

Hi everyone,

I have been having some problems with palpitations and tightness in my chest for about a year now. I found a cardiologist here in Dallas, but I am not very happy with him. In short, he's very uncommunicative and he's seemed to have no interest in solving my problem other than ordering excessive tests and prescribing beta blockers which haven't helped very much.

Anyway, does anyone know a good way to search for a cardiologist in may area. I've tried google searches and angie's list but I'm having trouble finding any good resources to actually find out if a doctor is any good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

The method I use, the resource, when looking for specialists is to consult with my primary care physician. He's never steered me wrong with his advice. The Primary Care knows us and our history, our temperment and which type of medical professional's personality will serve us best.
