hello. this is my 1st post. exactly i week ago i woke up at 5:30 a.m. i was sweaty, clammy, flushed, had pressure in my left
shoulder joint, & numbness on the left in different degrees down to my toes. called b.j.c. ( local mega hospital complex ) & they would not tell me anything over the phone. woke up my wife, told her i did not feel well & we got in the car to go to the e.r.. as an afterthought i went back into the house & took 2 aspirin & off we went. after an ekg they ran a catheter & determined that i had no blockage & decided i was having broken heart syndrome & put me in intensive care. next day the cardiologist tells me that because of elevated enzyme levels that i had had a heart attack possibly caused by a blood clot that had dissolved before i got to the e.r. at this point they say my heart is operating at 30-35%. i've been told that i should not lift over 20#, have sex, or do anything to elevate my heart rate. meds are an aspirin per day cor-eg, lipitor,
plavix, prinivil, isosoride, & nitroglycerine in casei need a jump start. they say the damage is in the front upper chamber. post attack i still have a bit of occasional chest pressure & left side numbness which they are telling me is normal. the pisser is that i was at low risk. no arterial blockage, good cholesterol, &
normal blood pressure. i am ( was ) a fit 61 year old male. my 1st follow up visit to the cardiologist is on nov. 17th.
for those of you you in the know......what might i expect to experience from here.
