CBS this morning - Barry Manilow explains his atrial fibrillation and treatment

Barry Manilow gave a great explanation of how his a-fib feels, demonstrated the pattern of the beats.  He told how he gets treated, meds, cardioversion.  It was so different from the way doctors tell it.  There was a doctor followup on the segment, but Manilow told it best.

I thought a-fib was an all-the-time thing, but it's not necessarily so!  That means to me that my daily heart burps (my description) followed by brief (usually) tachycardia is more than what the docs always call supraventricular tachycardia when I end up in the ER.  I have never complained to my cardiologist, and he knows I don't tolerate any heart meds - at least not in doses previously prescribed - so I am not getting treated, except with the daily 81 mg ASA.  I wonder if I should be doing just a little bit more, trying a smaller dose of beta blocker, maybe 2 baby aspirins or something, because stroke, which runs in my family, is the first concern, followed by heart failure.
