pfo with residual shunt

2 years after my pfo was closed with a helix I was found to have small residual shunting. My cardio told me there was nothing to do about it because the tee showed very little bubbles. Anybody have this experience and could give me advice? Still worried about possible strokes. Can anybody suggest a cardio in the los angeles area for a second opinion? I received the closure at cedar sinai

Hello and welcome to HealingWell. I can understand your concern. I suspect your cardiologist is correct but if you have doubts do seek out the opinion of a second cardiologist.

We don't provide info on Drs. per se' however perhaps you could check with your hospital to find a Cardiologist from a different clinic.
