25 years old with Heart Diease. I'm going to die young

I was just told by my doctor that I have heart diease but my blood pressure is normal. I think he said my left ventricle is enlarged and is trying to push more blood through and the walls of my heart are thickening. He guesses due to being over weight but will be sending me to a specialist. I'm scared, and wish this was a nightmare to wake up from but it's real and it all hasn't yet sunk into me. He kept telling me I'm too young to have this and now I'm scared that I won't live until I'm 30 or 40. All my life's dreams I feel are out the window..

Hey your not alone. Im 21. I have congestive heart failure and bigenemy. Im actually about to have surgery to get a defibulator. It is scary knowing you have a heart desiese so young. I almost died when the doctors told me. I had just had my second son. Two days after I was having trouble breathing an almost collapsed. My mom took me to the emergency room. Turned out my heart was swollen an my lungs were almost completely full with fluids an my heart sac was full with fluids. The doctors told me if I would of came in a few hours later I wouldnt have made it. It was very scary. This happened august 17th 2010. I was 20.

Honestly im terrified but you cant give up. You have to keep fighting. Dont give up on your dreams. Still work towards your goal. If you just give up then your body will give up. But if you fight then your body will fight. Live life to the fullest. Live everyday like its your last. Love like you never loved before. I keep all that in my mind. It helps me. So maybe it will help you. And just know your not alone okay. Im here if you ever need someone to talk to okay.
