Hello, I'm a 25 year old female who is overweight (218 pounds).. I lost 12 already and am currently losing. I'm also going to join a gym soon. I was getting out of breath quickly, but I didn't know if it was from my weight or something else. I went to the cardiologist and they did an echo. the doctor said my heart was perfectly normal, however my lung pressure was slightly elevated at 38mmHG. On the report it says RVSP 28, and my right atrium was 10. Do they add the 10 to the 28 and that's how they find the pressure?
He wanted me to get a stress echo. I went today and got it done and the technician told me while she was measuring the pressure on the screen that it measured 27mmHG. Right after excercise when I got off the treadmill it dropped to 17mmHG. Isn't pulmonary pressure supposed to during excercise? Could this be pulmonary hypertension?
