I've had PVC's my entire life - from the time I was a kid. I've learned to deal with them as much as I can. They come and go weeks to months at a time. I had recently gone almost 8 months without them.
Last wednesday, they started. They weren't terribly, but noticeable. It is now the following Tuesday. Almost a week later - and every day they have gotten progressively more frequent. I've never had them like this before. I am having 10 - 12 a minute - averaging out at 15,000 a day.
I am terrified. I am crying at least once a day. Seen at the ER twice - told was benign. I went to the cardio - told was benign.
I have now tried taking a magnesium supplement which has only suppressed the sensation. They are still there - and frequent as ever. I am 24 years old. I am expecting a baby with my girlfriend - and am so, so scared of dying. My cardio gave me a presciption of toprol but I am not comfortable with taking that yet. Is this normal. Has anyone on here experienced these - this much, and live to talk about
it? I also have mild mitral valve regurg.
Someone please help me stay calm. My entire life has been beaten by these things the past week. I have no idea how to regain control over these.
Please.
