Since you're in Charlotte, North Carolina, I would think that you might consider the cardiology department at Duke University in Durham, N. C.
In addition, there is a superior group of cardiologists in Cary, N. C.
(right off Route 64 on Tryon Road in Cary) called "Cary Cardiology." They are associated with Western Wake Medical Center in Cary. (Located across the street.)
In addition, (but off the subject) there is a very nice, large motel within a block of Western Wake Medical Hospital that I feel sure serves relatives of hospitalized patients. Excellent restaurants are close by, as well.
Dr.Shah is Head of Cary Cardiology on Keisler Drive in Cary. (Right off Tryon Road.) There are several other doctors associated with him, including his younger brother. His practice has just been united with Western Wake Hospital for service to patients, but his offices will still be maintained on Keisler Drive, I think. (919-233-0059, telephone number)
Rex Hospital in Raleigh, N. C. has an excellent cardiology department, as well. I would imagine there are several doctors with whom you might consider an appointment. I'm just not familiar with the practices at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, N. C.
I hope this helps; if not, perhaps one of the doctors may lead you to his best knowledge regarding your inquiry. It's worth a try.
I have no relationship whatever to the doctors, their practices,
or the surrounding amenities. I just happen to be a patient of Dr. Shah's and know his dedication and intelligence and willingness to help patients.
Good wishes,
