Hi There,
My mother had an MI in 2004 at the age of 38. This was severe and left her with 42% Cardiac Capacity. She always has been anemic, suffered from low bp, and has suffered from clots. The genetic MI history in our family is amazingly dangerous. Having all 3 of my grandparents passing away from some or other cardiac related problem.
At the age of 16 I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse, at 21 i was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure, and at 26 diagnosed with Extremely High Cholesterol (averages out at 8.6 even with taking 40mg Simvostatin daily - this was changed from Aspavor) no matter what the doctors do, they cannot seem to get my cholesterol levels down. Which is slightly worrying. When I spoke to my mothers doctor, and was examined by him, he told me that considering my family history and my current circumstances, I probably wont live past 35... Nice one... What I need to know is what else can I do to help myself? I have completely turned my life around, stopped smoking, drinking, clubbing and all that stuff, I now live a happy, quiet, stress free life, but the chest pains become unbearable, I have also been put on Angised to assist (although I have never been diagnosed with Angina)...
Any help/advice?
Thanks!
Edit: I gave your thread a title. :)
