Well I was told I had a large ASD a few months back (based on echo and 3d echo)and scheduled to have it closed yesterday. However, when they went in via a catheter they could not find a whole. They confirmed this with a TEE as well. So I went through all the worrying for nothing. The funny thing is they said I had shunting based on the echo, but the TEE does not show any nor did when they used the catheter. So either mine miraculously closed or the 3d echo's aren't always accurate.
By the way, the "chicken bone stuck in throat" is not from the amplatzer device, because I did not have an ASD but I still have this feeling occasionaly. It must be from either the TEE or something else.
