Hi I had a really weird experience and I wanted to know if this was normal or if I should pursue it further tachycardia and Pvc's for about 2 years now and have been taking a beta-blocker for about a year and a half. I also have had a few episodes of super ventricular tachycardia. So, I took my pulse and it was about 90 bpm, not bad I took my beta blocker and got ready for bed I went to bed. All of the sudden I started getting these rushes over my body kind of like I was floating I was dizzy, sick to my stomach, and starting to tremor. I felt my heart going faster and faster it was 138! I was dumping sweat by this time and my whole body was shaking.
I called my family that lives about 20 min away to come and get my daughter and take me to the hospital. It was about an hour before I arrived at the hospital and they were over full so I was stuck in a room with no monitoring for another 2 hours! The left side of my chest hurt so bad and it felt like someone was pushing all of their weight down on my chest. Finally they hooked me up to monitors and my o2 sat was 84% and my pulse was 115 they put 2l of oxygen on and left me for another hour. By the time they did finally do an ekg my sats had normalized and my pulse was 80 and o2 was 100%. But, still if I sat up or reclined they would jump around. The doctor then came in another hour later and said well this is weird I have no idea what could have happened.
I was feeling a lot better after the oxygen and my ekg was normal so they sent me home no further testing no blood work. Even though I was admitted with classic signs of a heart attack they only did the ekg. My question is is this normal or something that I shouldn't really worry about. The pvc's Tachycardia and chest pain I can handle i'm used to that but the euphoric out of body feeling and 84% oxygen scarred me. Any advise would be much appreciated. I feel like I was blown off because of my age I am 25.
