Could this be heart related?

• Last night I was falling asleep and suddenly became extremely nauseated.  I made it to the bathroom, but did not have the strength to hold my head up over the toilet.  The last thing I remember is that I was trying to pull over a throw rug so I would not throw up directly on the carpet.  When I came to, which felt like only a few minutes, though I'm not sure, I was profusely sweating, but no longer violently sick to my stomach.  I went back to bed and slept fine the rest of the night.  Not until this morning did I try to determine what happened last night?  Any ideas?  I think it only lasted a few minutes, but not sure.
• I'm female, 63 years with an old history of inferior infarct.

Anytime you have a syncopal episode you should check in with your Dr. so I hope you have done that. 

You may have had a vasovagal episode.  A vasovagal reaction (also called vasovagal syncope) is sudden dizziness or fainting that can be triggered by pain, fright,  trauma or nausea and vomiting as well as many other things so do follow up if you have not already with a medical professional.
