Hi There,
I have suffered with STV since 2010 - to cut a long story short, i had an unsuccessful ablation in 2011 and a 'successful' ablation this time last year and various visits to A & E and stays in hospital in between (there was an extra pathway however it was left as it was non responsive; it has reared its ugly head twice since then however neither bothersome or anything i would class as important enough to do anything about).
Since my second ablation i have suffered with chest pains which at one stage i was told may be muscular...since then my health and 'get up and go' has deteriorated and I'm in pain most of the days with my chest and pain in my upper right shoulder - my doctor keeps referring me to my cardiologist and visa versa.
My cardiologist said my eco, event recorder and ECG's came back all clear around March last year so what I'm feeling now may not be heart related but maybe stomach related (my doctor has as a precaution treated me for possible stomach complaints as a precaution)..she gives me the impression she thinks I'm imagining it - she's sending me to have a stress test and another event recorder fitted but she's told me that she probably wont find anything and this is just something i may have to live with.
I was wondering if anyone else experiences similar pains and has maybe been told the same..? apart from my chest pains i try to keep active however my lethargy and chest pain does restrict it somehow..I'm not a nervous person or suffer from anxiety, my resting heart rate is around 80-90bpm sometimes this can get up to about 120bpm when at doctors or recording it at home if i feel a little dizzy and unwell and i'm a 30year old female...
can anyone offer some advise?? should i seek a second opinion or is this normal (for the record my doctor thinks my cardiologist is talking out of her bottom but he's not familiar with cardiac problems??)
Many Thanks
