Two valves instead of one?

Hello all,

It's been a difficult year. First, my husband was found to have kidney cancer and underwent a partial removal of his kidney. Prognosis is good and he is healing well. Surgery was back in March this year. Since, he has felt flutterings in his chest and after yesterday's testing, he was told he has two cusps/valves instead of three. They seemed surprised that he has never been sick, in fact. He doesn't see a Dr again until the 31st so I am left wondering what the heck this all means. The Dr hasn't even spoken to him and it was just the person giving the test who pointed it out. He was sent home because he was not symptomatic and will be given a heart monitor on the 31st. He's military and will continue strenuous PT every week day and frankly, it worries me.

On another note, I am also personally frustrated. For 10 yrs, I have felt the same flutterings, the same tightness and have a history of rapid pulse. Every single time I have mentioned this to a Dr or they notice my pulse, it is written off as anxiety. Never once have I been given the test my husband was offered upon his very first heart complaint. It's massively annoying to say the least. Obviously, I am glad they caught this in my hubby but it makes me wonder what they are missing in me. :/
