Hello friends, this is my first post.
One morning two years ago (as a 49-year-old 6'1" 175lb vegen), I started feeling a dull ache below my sternum. When the ache spread to my left arm, I knew what was happening. At the hospital they gave me an angiogram that showed a blood had produced an 80% blockage in my LAD due to ruptured plaque. They stented me and I've been feeling fine ever since.
In the months leading up to the event, I had been noticing several episodes a day of heart palpitations that a cardiologist had diagnosed as premature ventricular contractions that were harmless. I still get the PVCs once or twice a day, and I know they're benign, but I can't help but think they're bad omen even though my doctor said the PVCs had nothing to do with the LAD blockage. I can't go to the doctor ever time I get the PVCs, and I can't just get a routine angiogram (duh!), so how do I know if I'm really healthy or not? I guess I just have to listen to my body and hope I have symptoms again and not just drop dead?
Thanks for reading. I realize my questions might just rhetorical.
