tongue  do feel like crying and pulling my hair out ARGH

the MA told me the schedualing Secretary Pam allreaady turned in the paperwork for my mammo i thought oh good news so I called them up aaat 1 pm after we had lunch and was told not in system so we stopped by too and stillnot in system i was very P.O. folks that I even hollared or shuold I say raised my voice att heir Security Guaard leab=ving that place calling it a P.O.S. and then when i got home called and my Doctors MA Rebecca told me she put it in the system herself but lets see oh forgot when she did it and now wait for the mail. I am glad I have senators and news media in my Ss class I can feel them uot this Sunday if they are their and not working. The mas is still their too but tonight just plum tired my get up and gone has got  up and went  I ache all over, But No teri My girlfriend my hair doesnot hurt.

Now let me leave you with this ok

Awwww, Heidi, this really has gone on too long!!! I hope that they are able to get their acts together and get this straightened out and you are scheduled by the end of this week!! Please keep us posted and remember to try to take a few deep breaths...this is certainly no good for your heart health, or your thyroid problems!!! You may need to call in someone extra on this.

Iknow 3 weeks this Thursday will talk to some people on sunday. But hey I can e-mail the number and names to talk to if anyone else wants to call on my behalf and ask what is going on. Just tell them yuoa re my sisters or sister. I know that is why I am takeing more notes now and charting my health too . well got to go suppose to be rainiing allday long today and tomrrow too. We need it butu the grass also needs to be cut too.

I know it seems impossible to you guys that "the saga continues" with Heidi's situation and nothing is happening. And it does just cause you to sit there and shake your head in disbelief. (which is what Im doing now, believe me!) Heidi, I'm sorry you're still going through this. I am in a similar situation with not having insurance, as you know. Today I went to the clinic for a scheduled follow-up appointment with my PCP and found that my cardio referral to the teaching hospital had been flat-out denied - for the second and last time (no appeal). Reason given: I passed the thalium stress test last January. Apparently I have to have some kind of a new event and new tests documenting it for them to allow another referral to come through. My history of rheumatic fever, all chf symptoms, arrhythmias, 2 prior MI's, cardiac arrest, LVH, PH, etc., is just all a little too stale to be of interest, and besides, I'm 'fine', because I passed the stress test!?!?!? Ho-hum. I am wondering what planet they (or I) live on, and yes, this is outrageous, but how upset am I over this?.... Not at all. I would be if I thought that seeing a cardio was in my best possible (and only) interest, and that they could actually do something to help me. The last time I let them try to help me, I had a heart attack caused by/during the cath, and I stayed away a very long time after that. It has occurred to me that maybe my higher power is watching out for me and this is the plan. I know that in this and other matters, when I try to push against a brick wall, nothing happens - and that's usually for a reason. Meanwhile, I'll still keep trying to knock on doors, but I'm leaving my battering ram at home. I haven't figured out any other way to deal with it, other than to accept what is happening now and hope for a better outcome. I'm hoping for a better outcome for you too (((my FL heartsister with no insurance either!))) What can all this mean?

hi barb,

boy, it seems like every time i read your posts we have IDENTICAL physical situations, tests, results, etc.  so...this last endoscopy went OK for you?  i think i remember reading that, yay!  i'm still struggling with this heavy chest feeling and it's making me nervous and mental.  i guess i'm going to give up and call my cardio boy tomorrow and try to move up my appoinment.  although i just had every test known to mankind at the mayo, i know things can change too and i need to get on top of it.  it has me pretty low.  i dunno if it's gastro, heart, fibromyalgia, scar tissue, acid reflux, blah, blah, blah!!!  but meanwhile, i'm glad to be home tonight, glad to be sorta kinda relaxing, and hope you get to do the same too, soon!

Went into the dollar store today to get some coke etc and bought myself 2 boas a blue and green one to wear with my outfits I couldnot pass them up at $1 a piece in the girls dress up section I need a pink,lavendar and red one now. :-)

I do wish all of sould wiggle our noses and make us all normal again and well again with each of us going through the same stuff too how awful that can be I can no longer eat onions they bloat mne up so bad etc...

 

 

Well a nice rain so far 5 inches back yard from cypress trees back fulla nd overflowing the  cypress pond is full so are the dirtches on the side and in front of the house almost up to the top this is so good fro our well too and more4 a coming  I feel like going out and playing in the puddles but it is also thundering and where heir is thunder their is also lightening and the snakes too i saw frogs jump up when i went  out back to check rain guage. we really need  rain.

Our grandson Monster Marmaduke a 3 year old great dane hit his ;leg coming intot he house onMonday nioght took 5 stiches in it to close it up and  a brace on it oo. Our son who does maintaaaance at the zoo guazed it uo and cut a piece of PVC pipe for a brace and told the Vet his mom said how to do it askled him was I vet or vet tech he said no and now his vet said become a vet tech no not me I will do vet receepptionist etc but vet tech 4 years of college on copmputer and traveling down to St pete for tests. I'll just do it all Vol and see abut ging back to qwork once I get my health all straightened out.

I've had a struggle the past few weeks, mainly dealing with my heart medications and slowing sinking into my depression once again. I saw my PCP today and between us we decided to switch my anti-depressant from Lexapro to Zoloft. I start tonight and I have a completely positive take on this, knowing it will help. :) He also put me back on my Zocor, saying you don't fix what isn't broke, basically. I really like this Dr.!! :) So it's with tremendous relief that I start back tonight on my Zocor as well. I've never had any problems with it and it's helped my cholesterol, which is very important to me! Just a little of what's happening in my life.

hi teri and all,

i tried unsuccessfully to start a new little thread on drugs, but no go.  now see, here's one reason i'd like to have that thread:  here you are starting zocor and many have said that doesn't work for them at all.  i'd like somehow to discuss things to be looking for with these drugs, although it is easy enough to find drug side effects on various web sites, i'd like to hear "real live" versions of what we experience.  that doesn't mean i'll choose to take or not take a drug on that, i'd just like to chat about them a bit.

for example, i've started klonopin, which is doing nothing for me.  but it's cousin xanax started doing nothing for me either about 2 weeks ago.  and it had always at least eased the pain somewhat. 

i also need to start my celexa, but i'm a bit leery of it.  would like some input from others on it, although i've already looked online.  for every 50 people that like a drug, seems there's 50 that don't, or can't take it for some reason.  maybe my suggested thread IS useless!

teri, i like to hear that you have a renewed sense of hope.  i'm working hard on that every day myself.  sometimes it gets tough, doesn't it girlfriend?

Hi Teri,
I have spoken to u a couple of times in chat. I have had two silent heart attacks due to my insulin dependent diabetes.

I just wanted to mention that I was on lexapro recently. I did not do well on it so my doctor switched me to Zoloft. I have never been on it. I am hoping for positive results also.

 was on Ativan for a while after 3 amikly deaths in 1999 with 5 months of each other my twin brother, stanley's brother then ur sister in law might have to get back on it depending on how this testingis going next week got to see my PCp for that too adn she is the one  who is suppose to be expiditing my mammogram. Our sons think it is because we have no insuranmce and they take people with insurance first etc this is a tehing hopital and been on this clinic card fro a while since 1999 when husband got fired from PUblix and even had to pay 1/2 of everything now that he is on SSDDI and Medicare everything is free fro me excpet ER visits $10-$20  depending on what theyare doing.

 

Also we hgad 5 inches of rain yesterday ditches full allt he way around too in front ditch up to the top of culverts side ditch all the way through and same with back ditch and  cypress pond too full. And more to come tonight we need rain good fro our wella dn qaquifaire too.

Teri here is hopeing the Zoloft will help anmd so happy back on the statin I like your doctor too. He sounds good.

Well got to go  make bed put clean sheets on it and have  2 more loads of clothes to dot hen mopiing too.

Effie, Welcome to our forum!! Of course, I remember you!-and Lyn! She has been in my thoughts and prayers lately, too. Effie, were your MI's small ones?, did they leave a lot of damage? Are you Diabetic II?
Diabetes plays such a huge role in heart disease as well - I have diabetes II. Just diet treated and so far so good. come on over and visit us anytime - you are more than welcome!! :)

so sorry two silent Heart Attacks I had a silent one back in 2003 and it was scary not even knew what hit me till I saw the doctor the next day. I sure do hope yuo are geting all thr proper and right treatment and also hkeeping yur diabetes in control two. I have heard and teach therough AHA eduction that theyare the kissing cousins of Heart Diesasetoo heart Disease and Diabetes too. So scary I have known a young lady under 30that also ahd a couple too so she  listens to her body more.

 

Well teri the rain is coming uor way again high today 94 right now at 11 pm last night it was 82 we had window ac on and den one too with the fans. But pretty soon other side of the ditch willbe lake Lokey. We need the rain for uor well too but somany peopleare not prepared for this so it makes me wonder how prepared are they for hurricanes too.

Hey Libby, yeah my test went ok. They found gastritis and esophagitis. Do you have those too? I also have fibromyalgia and asthma along with the heart disease. Oh and don't forget the ulcertive colitis. I'm going to let that same doc do the test for that in August. He had to give me 2x the regular amount of meds he usually does and I don't remember a thing which is the way it is supposed to be. It's really hard when you have all these different problems. The meds for one problem bothers the other ones. My stomach is very touchy. It's alot better now with the zantac at night and protonix in the am and dc of the zocor. I can actually sleep at night with out choking on acid reflux. It's awesome. Now if I can just get rid of this cough from the bronchitis I had I'll be doing pretty good for the time being. If it doesn't clear up soon I'll have to go see if it is my asthma or pneumonia. I'm leaving next Friday to go see our granddaughter in North Carolina. I can't wait. Hey another thing I am trying is drinking no tap water unless it has set out over night uncovered so the chlorine gases can escape or I drink spring water. A guy on the GERD form does this because he says the chlorine causes extra acid in your stomach. I think it helps. Drinking soda or anything carbonated is a no no according to the doc and it does seem to cause problems for me. I know more stuff for us to cut out of our diet. Barb

Thanks everyone! I'm feeling pretty chipper today! :) I brought 2 of my 3 birds into the Pet Shop today and the last little one is still asking to be fed from a syringe. :) So I'll keep him home with me til he's eating more seed. There's already 3 more eggs in the nest and counting! lol

I got a great night's sleep last night and have been running around all day, plus working at the pet shop...and I made a nice dinner tonight, so my legs are really aching! I have an MRI scheduled in a few wks. to check out my lower back and hips to see what's happening...since we know it's not the Zocor the Dr. what's to figure this one out...I had 3 back surgeries back in the 80's when I was in my late 20's and early 30's, and it left a lot of scar tissue. So we'll see...Hugs, Teri :)

i'm typing in all caps to really get your attention:  make that DOUBLE for me.

give me those phone numbers and i'll start calling.

one of the things i do in fort worth texas is that i give regularly to the "indigent

woman's mammography fund."  this doesn't mean that you are homeless or job-less,

just that you might need some help paying for a mammogram.  our biggest hospital

offers mammograms, almost INSTANTLY, to women in need.

come to fort worth tomorrow, i'll get you a D^&) mammogram!  really, give me numbers if you want, if you think that would help -

Hi Teri, yes I am crazy about pandas. I think I have over 100 stuffed ones and then all sorts of other panda items. I have a the most beautiful panda blanket that my son brought home for me from Japan. My daughter in law bought me a big furry robe that matches it. I have bamboo wall paper on one wall of my bedroom and then if I ever get around to it I have very realistic panda border I want to put up in there. I have tried to keep them confined to the bedroom though. lol. I always loved pandas but I really went crazy with the panda stuff after seeing the first male panda that was given to the US in 1997 in Washington DC national zoo. Then when we went to see my son graduate from Marine boot camp in San Diego I got to see Hua Mei and her father. I have panda shirts and even panda earrings. I even got my boss to let me have a panda based party at the senior center and I brought tons of my pandas with me to decorate. It was so much fun. Well hope that answered your question! Barb
