recovery after ablation -svt and discontinuance of metoprolol

Just had ablation for SVT yesterday. Read posts on stopping of metoprolol on this site. Asked doctor because I was on this for a month. 25 mg 2x per day. Gave me throbbing veins in temples, extreme fatigue and just didn't feel good. He said I could stop right away because the dose was small. I stopped last night. Still have throbbing vein behind left ear and temple. Still have fatigue from the procedure- in bed 4 hours after the procedure, slept 3 hours when I got home, up a few hours and then slept from 10 pm to 5 am. Moving very slowly because I still feel exhausted. Anyone with experience on recovery? Any tips to improve it that worked for you. I am 61 with alot of osteoarthritis which slows me down. Thanks

Hello and welcome to HealingWell. How is your recovery coming along? For the procedure you had, it seemed to me you were pretty much on track the day of your surgery.

Considering you had a cardiac procedure and underlying osteoarthritis it would not be unusual for you to feel weak and tired. Spread out your activity and rest and do not be afraid to call your Dr. if you feel you have a question that requires a physician's assessment.
