Thank I failed an EKG yesterday. Test was ordered as pre-lim for shoulder surgery. Before I even got home message was on machine to call PCP, but I couldn't get through with return calls. Tech had asked if I was anxious...I was "irritated" at the time. Also had just in past 30 minutes taken my Flovent HFA med. Don't know if that would have had any affect. I am 68, female, yes overweight, have taken BP meds for years, (Verapamil & Lisinopril),father died of artherosclerosis/heart attack. I know worrying doesn't help, but DH is chronically ill and we really have enough doctors, meds, testing, hospitals in our lives, thank you. Any thoughts?

I can see why you would have so many reasons for your anxiety to be elevated and perhaps your heart rate was a little fast.

When is your surgery scheduled? You Dr. must clear you for surgery after all the pre-op tests are done so if nobody has called you to tell you that you cannot have surgery, try not to get stuck in "what if" thinking.

Hope by now you have heard from your Dr. and forgive me for not getting to your post until just now.
