Good for you for getting your testing done and I am sorry that you have not spoken to the Respiratory Therapist or your Dr. to explain the outcome of your test.
Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) is a generic term used to indicate a battery of studies or maneuvers that may be performed using standardized equipment to measure lung function. PFTs can include simple screening spirometry, formal lung volume measurement, diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide, and arterial blood gases. These studies may collectively be referred to as a complete pulmonary function survey.
I wish I could give you some encouraging words however, none of us in the forum are able to interpret nor diagnose what your study indicates. First your Dr. will need to review all of the data and I hope this gets done quickly.
Many things can affect the heart and of course oxygen or lack of oxygen is needed for your heart and your body.
I also feel safe if the Drs. do not want you to return to their office immediately after tests or the old no news may be good news.
Stay strong and I wish you peace,
Kitt
