Hi Sarah - I have a RBBB which showed up in '05 for the first time. I have so much else going on with my heart, I have no idea if I have symptoms from it. BBB's are almost always secondary, i.e., caused by another underlying condition, but in your case without that, it's possible you could have had a fluke EKG (~?~) Sometimes a lead that is loose or not placed correctly will give an off the wall reading.
I would probably ask my cardio about
it if I were you, instead of relying on one EKG done by your PCP. (Wotan, they are actually NOT always benign or 'nothing to worry about
', but I'm glad your friend is OK)
take care,
Oona
PS - an echo won't show a BBB, just an EKG.
