3 more Stints added!

……it has been 12yrs or so since I had my "Heart Attack" ….and my Dr decided I was well overdue for a "Treadmill" test. He saw some problems, plus the fact that I have been having hard chest pain here and there the last several months. So!…..he had me see my Heart Dr, who suggested a "Heart-Cath be done Friday morning. Surprise!…Surprise!…..three "Stints" were added and I was taken to ICU for recovery at the Hospital next door. The Surgeon told my wife that I really should have had open heart surgery, but since they were in with the Heart-Cath, they added the "Stints". I now, have four of these. They used two different types on me Friday.

The next time I may not be so lucky ….plus, living with chronic pain and heart disease os not so fun.

….off work for a week, and I will not get to spend some quality time with my new puppy.

…good afternoon Stkitt! I will see the Surgeon this next week, and see what all took place and why. All I know is that he told my wife that had they known how bad I was they would have had me in open heart surgery. He said since they were in already they decided to go ahead and place stints. I too am curious about all of it.

Also, I can tell you that almost all family members on my fathers side are dead because of heart attacks before the age of 55 or so. Not only do we have heart problems, but several of us have spine problems as well, giving us a double whammy of medical problems in life.

I'm pushing 58 and have felt like I was on borrowed time here, so really I'm not too surprised at the events of late.
