Hi All! :)

I'm still hanging in there with the new med. increase, headache is better-so it's working!! Yea! :)

Libby, I've forgotten to ask you - how has your stomach been doing?? So many other things happening and you haven't mentioned it for a while...I'd like to think you are doing better?!

Lil, congratulations on your one year!! :) Let's hope this year brings you nothing but good stuff! I'm thinking when they say a month, it's a bit of a guess...if it continues? You know the drill by now. lol Give your Dr. a call about it!!

Barb, I'd bet your dancing around right about now, waiting to see your son again!! :)

Hi all, my hand is a bit better tonight. I didn't use it much today since I was out of town at a meeting for most of the day. I am sure feeling bad for my son though. I can't believe how cruel and heartless his wife is being. She doesn't deserve him at all. Well I think I'll be riding my bike tomorrow to work since gas just shot up to 3.19 a gallon. I think it is only a mile or so. It's just across town. Only takes me about 15 minutes to get there. Well I better go get ready for my night job. I still hate going there but need the money. I'm just glad I don't have to go there as often. I have to drive my car to get there because it is too far and dangerous to ride my bike at night. Take care and I'll check in again soon. Barb

Hi Barb! I'm glad to hear that your hand is feeling better - and you are right about those gas prices!! Whew! We're at about $2.65 here today - so we all gassed our vehicles up - before it goes higher!

You know we never stop loving our children and caring and hurting for them, but your son will work it out somehow himself, just be there for him and your granddaughter when you can! My heart's up in Wis. with you...

hi teri,

i'm here!  just runnin' around, senselessly, doing this and that.  thought i'd just wait and check in tomorrow night!  stomach still about the same, altho' now that i'm taking more klonopin, well, i dunno, i'm calmer that's for sure, but my pains aren't particularly gone, i just don't care about them as much - hoho.

Hey,

I'm still around.  Was going to post this morning but ended up posting in Asthma and time just ran away from me.  So I'm posting now!  :D

Life is good...really busy but good.  So much work to do right now at school.  I'm gonna try to make it to the chat tonight...only 30 min to go!  I can stay away!  I can do this!  :)

hi everyone,

hey, if you weren't there, you missed a good chat last night about statins and other drugs.  i'd like to see more of our family there next thursday at 8:00 and try the same topic again.  maybe just drugs in general that we're taking and some discussion on them.  that would be helpful to me, so if anyone else feels the same just let our good ole moderator teri know!

Well, your "good ole moderator, Teri" lol thought due to lack of participants that we'd have to go to a more open type forum for the next few weeks. The chats will be open to whatever topics that the participants that show up would like to discuss pertaining to the Heart. :) This way, if someone has only one question and the responses only last a few minutes then we'll move on to someone else's question. So in this type of forum that if you, Libby, wanted to bring up the Statin discussion again, you could! If enough responses warranted it, we could stay on that topic the whole chat. I found that a pretty interesting topic myself! :)

I hope that everyone will agree with this for just a few weeks, since this is so new to many of us, it just seemed the way to go for a trial.

teri, that sounds good to me - an "open forum" - hopefully there will be more participants!  i find it hard to be on the chat room for an hour, though.  i wish we met more often, in shorter spurts.  or at least offered it, say, twice a week, for 1/2 hour at a time.   i don't know if that would work for anyone else.  sometimes when i "wander off" for a while, it's because the chat is sorta going on between 2 people about something that almost seems a bit personal to me somehow, and i take that opportunity to go in the kitchen and get a bite or something!  i like it when we address a more specific topic, but i think i'm in the minority on that, so i'll abide by whatever works best for everyone else -

Good Morning Everyone! :)

I hope you all are enjoying your Holiday weekend!

We attended a HS football game, Fri. night - look out Ricky, we
won! lol :) My back paid for it though - those bleachers get harder every year! :)
It's going to be quiet today at the house - just relaxing and maybe some shopping. Then tomorrow we're having a cookout, so should be fun!

What are all you doing this weekend - or what did you do?? :)

hi teri et al,

just having a nice lazy sunday afternoon, took a big fat klonopin, mostly for

pain although i know that's not it's primary use, it seems to calm the nerve

endings down somewhat deep down thar inside.

hope it's cooler down south, we're still sweltering in the foat -

but cain't really complain, now can we, those of us with dry homes, jobs, clothes,

etc.  complaining seems ludicrous given the katrina victims.  i know dallas is at max

of how many they can take in, and i understand houston is the same.

I know what you mean re the complaining. It does somehow seem trivial at times when you look at the whole scope of things, doesn't it?! :)

I'm feeling okay, I've just been glued to the television set re: the hurricane disaster. I finally decided not to watch it all day long anymore. I could not sleep at night. I kept seeing those poor faces in my dreams, too. I did better last night sleeping, too. Also, I've had an issue at work that has been very draining.

You know you shouldn't keep watching TV like that - I've had to turn mine off for a while on that. I've done what I can to help and watching it day in and day out won't change a thing for any of those poor people. Just do whatever it is that you can do to help. Prayers and positive thoughts are all part of this, too.
