New here. I have had CAD since 2000. I always test negative on the thallium stress test, yet my 1st stent I have 95% blockage in the LCA, then a stent RCA and 1 in my circumflex.
Feb 2014 had a stress (negative) and an echo-cardio (neg). 10 days later I had a CVA (TIA); went in for a TEE and they found a hole in my heart.
1st- Should this not have been found in 14 years of test and stents if I had one? or 2. Could this have been caused by the Doctor doing the heart catheter this last time, or shouldn't it have been caught by him? 3. Could I have gotten one now at 56 in my life?
They want to try to close it with the umbrellas on the 28th, hopefully by a catheter. He said I would feel like a chicken bone is caught in my chest for a few weeks, but if up to it can go back to work the next day.
Has anyone had this done, and what was your results?
Are my expectations too high at going back to work?
