38-year old hubby went to the ER Tuesday. He's always been healthy (a bit overweight and I suspect sleep apnea, but that's it). His heart rate was 240, blood pressure plummeted, and they ended up shocking him. He was released from the hospital that day, but not before meeting with two cardiologists. They say it's pretty much a guarantee it will happen again, and the only options to prevent it are medication for the rest of his life, or a cardiac ablation. They both say ablation is the smarter choice for him because he's young and pretty healthy.
Anyone have any advice on what to ask at the next appointment so we can make the best decision here? My parents think it's insane for him to have the surgery. I just don't know what to do!
