I am a 65 year old female who had an ablation 8 days ago. I was back in AFib before I was dismissed from hospital, but it has since reverted to normal rhythm. I am still extremely fatigued, no zip or drive to do anything.
A couple of nodules were found on my thyroid during testing prior, so my EP said to bring it to my PCD's attention. I happened to have a 6 mo checkup with my PCD yesterday and after lab work, he said I had a hyper thyroid..said it was complicated because thyroid probs can cause an irregular heartbeat and many of the other symptoms the same as AF. I did have more Bloodwork done but no results yet. I will have a thyroid scan in 2 weeks and go from there. So I now wonder did the thyroid cause the AFib or did it show up on its own? I am also anemic with low hemoglobin since ablation.
Is there a light at the end of this tunnel? The worst part is not feeling like myself. Was hoping a successful ablation would snap me back to my old self.
