i had 2 stents put in in June. LMA and Distal Circumflex, 80 and 85% blockage. I also have a high total calcium score of 937.
After the stent insertions i felt much better (physically), however, i've noticed over the last month or so, that sometimes, when running (not walking) i feel a VERY SLIGHT feeling in my throat, similar to the tightness i used to experience, before the stents, but much less obvious. If i was not looking for it i would probably not notice it and i sometimes wonder if it is just in my head, as i have been very hyper aware of every sensation since .the stents. In other words, scared.
When i informed my cardiologist , he did an EKG, which showed abnormalities again. Told me to take 2 days OFF the beta blocker (metroprolol) and come back for an echo stress. Same result as before the stents, showed abnormality on the EKG, but pictures looked good. EKG again showed 1mm DOWNSLOPING ST Depression.
Next day, had an angiogram, was told everything looked fine, no no blockages, stents were in place and good, nothing to be concerned about
.
So, do i have a problem? I haven't seen my Dr yet for follow up, will next week, but this whole thing has me very anxious and depressed. Since the Angiogram, i get an occasional palpatation, i think its anxiety.
Also, one other thing - i saw on the echo stress report from June (before the first angio and stents) that my ejection fraction was 66 at rest and 76 while exercising. (peak) . On the second echostress, just before this last angio, whcih is 2 months later, and after the stents, my EF is now 60 at rest and 70 while exercising at peak. Does this mean anything?
