reasons for palpitations hurting?

Was in the hospital yesterday for having a palpitation that hurt, it put me into a panic, so I went to get checked out, I'd rather go then regret it. I'm not anxious anymore.

I'm just wondering if any of you have them that hurt?
And if so, I wonder why they do?

Are you sure these were palpitations? I used to get them regularly. Then I got my thyroid straightened out and things were somewhat better for awhile.

Recently I was diagnosed with gastritis and GERD and had a terrible attack of pains up in my esophagus that felt like palpitations, but painful. Found out this was esophageal spasms from the gastric issues.

Sometimes they fool you.

I've got GERD, just went to urgent care today actually because my dr can't get me in til sept 9th, they're changing my medicine for the GERD, the prilosec 40mg I'm on isn't working anymore... I start protonix tomorrow. I'm going Sept 9th to get my thyroid checked out, since my levels did come back a little high.

I think the med change will help. all the best with ya appt. I am having my thyroid levels checked as well. and a few other non related things!!!
