I am a 30yr old moderately healthy male. 3 days ago I went to the Doctor short of breath and with a crushing heart pain. I was sent straight to Hospital. At Hospital I undertook an ECG, blood tests and a chest x-ray. I was told that it was nothing serious but I did have pericarditis and have been prescribed ibuprofen.
Since then I have been feeling symptoms of nausea, chest pains, short of breath and I haven't returned to work (managerial office job). The question is do people tend to return to work with these symptoms? Do they reduce in severity? Can returning to work too early cause any damage?
Also, I was informed by the Doctor that I would be undergoing an echocardiogram. However, after ringing back today have been informed that the appointment was never booked. Is it worth me chasing an appointment? Will it show anything that an x-ray; blood tests; ECG wouldn't?
