Don't want to stop blood thinner

In 2004 I had a heart attack at the age of 47, No smoking, Good diet, not over weight, just bad genes. I had a stent inserted and three months later had another stent placed in a different artery. Last month August 2015 age 58 I had another heart attack and had another stent inserted. In 2012 my Dr. took me off Plavix and I think that is what had caused the new blockage.
All of my life I've had quick clotting blood. Never needed stitches. Very thick blood.
I am on Brilinta now after my new stent. My Dr. Said I should only need to take it for a year or so. I don't want to stop taking it. Any feedback would be appreciated. I've always taken 81 mg aspirin and will continue to do so.

I have two stents (not the result of a heart attack though, thankfully). I was on Plavix for 3 years. Twice the length of time recommended then. Since coming-off Plavix I'm one of millions of people who take a low-dose aspirin daily. My Cardiologist has explained to me that in monitoring and testing ... there's no evidence that taking Plavix for longer than the recommended period is beneficial.
