hi and welcome. gastro check up. gastro symptoms can mimic heart symptoms. doc might need to have a peek in there.
Good advice. 12-14 years ago I was experiencing what I, and originally my primary care physician, thought were symptoms of heart disease. The heart checked-out fine. I then set about
a two year process of ruling-out one possibility after another (I had HMO coverage at the time). At the end of the two years, and with the very last specialist - a Gastroenterologist - I learned that the root cause of my discomfort was: GERD. The specialist said he'd never seen acid levels so high (as the result of two monitors being inserted for 24 hours). What followed was several years of taking Nexium. I'm off the Nexium now but still take a generic equivalent. What I experienced before the correct diagnosis was, in every medical professional's opinion, exact symptoms of heart attack or other heart problems.
