I've been suffering with palpitations that feel like skipped beats since March of this year.
I've had a holter, echo, event monitor, blood work, chest xray, 16+ EKGs since then.
I hadn't had more than 4 palpitations in 7 weeks,
Then all of a sudden they got worse after having an endoscopy done for GERD, they seem worse after I eat.
They also happen more when I walk also, they were coming 4 in a row a when I say row I mean " beat beat thump pause beat thump pause beat thump pause beat thump pause" so I went to the ED, they did an EKG, it looked fine so I was discharged.
My cardiologist said GERD can cause the palpitations.
But why would they all of a sudden get worse?
Could it be because of the endoscopy?
The pantoprazole I was put on for the GERD and acid reflux?
And why do they happen while I'm walking?
