Mild left ventricular impairment?

Hey guys,
Hope you are all in good spirits. My echo showed mild impairment of the left ventricular along with scattered plaque in my arteries months ago .I have no idea what the impairment of the left ventricular means can anyone plz explain?
It's quite frightening reading on the net and confusing is it heart failure? Are you greater risk for stroke?
Any help will be great,
Damm I should have not read the report.. :(

Asked my cardio back then from memory he said it's not heart failure and he put me on coversyl and plavix.
