Hi! I am a 20 year old healthy (as far as I know) female in college. I have been suffering from health/death anxiety for a few months now. I am seeking treatment for that. However, a few weeks ago, I went into the university clinic because I could not seem to get my heart to slow down no matter what I did. It wasn't actually beating that hard (probably 90 BPM) but my resting rate is usually 65-75 BPM, so naturally, I was incredibly freaked out about it. I had an EKG that showed a right axis deviation (max is 90 degrees, mine was 106 degrees) but the doctor seemed to be fairly unconcerned. He was more worried about treating anxiety. The nurse said a few of the nodes peeled away from my skin a little during the test and it seemed like that could've been that cause as well. I am concerned because my results say "borderline ECG." Is this anything I should be worried about? I have a lot of anxiety surrounding my heart health. It normally is on its best behavior when my anxiety is not focused on it, but when it is, it is constantly racing and I feel like I could keel over at any moment. I'd feel a lot better if I understood my EKG results a little bit better. Anyone have any experience with this?
