hi all

im new to this site just need abit of advise , i had my little toe amputated in OCT 16 then they found out i had PVD in both legs they did a doppler and found out my right leg was severly bad and thats it it now APRIL had no appts at hospital or nothing , just go to the doctors im on Gabapentin , Lipitor, Aspirin , Duloxtine and Oramorph which dont seem to be working , since i found out in Jan 17 that i have this i cant walk anywhere in a wheelchair and have constant pain in my legs and the nerves in both feet are gone cant feel nothing at all , now its spreading to my right arm and hand , things are getting worse , i have had a PIP assessment and waiting on the results and also have a ESA assessment upcoming also .

Is there anything that i can do to stop me being in pain all the time

hello & welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, this forum is very slow because we do not have a moderator to help keep things moving. Some of us try to pitch in when we can & answer a post.

My thoughts are is to talk to the dr about all of the difficulty you are having with the pain. I see you take Gabapentin which I am assuming it is for nerve pain. Depending on the dosage you are currently on, is there room for an increase? Or perhaps the dr can try you on a different medication in that class. The bad news is, narcotics have little effect on nerve pain which may be another factor as to why you are having such pain.

I would make a list of questions & discuss each one with the dr & get my answers. Drs tend to be in a rush when we see them. I have found writing things down helps much more than trying to remember what I want t discuss.

I am sorry that you are not quite getting what you need. Perhaps getting some new drs in the picture may be something to consider.
