Hey everyone! First post here! All of you seem very knowledgeable about heart disease and keep people from freaking out which is great! I'll do my best to keep this short and sweet...
I'm a 40 year old male that never had any heart issues. I do sometimes have high BP and every so often have heart palpitations which is probably from drinking caffeine. Anyway, around mid last week I started feeling chest heaviness with some pain, but not necessarily right in the middle of my chest. It's more left of center looking down at my chest. I have felt some arm pain and these symptoms seem to be constant not sharp and does not stay for for a few min then disappears. Now, (and you'll probably think I'm crazy) but I started doing pushups again and I got the symptoms a couple of days after starting them. I had surgery on my knee a few weeks ago so I'm out of shape, but I started working out slowly. I'm aware of the cartilage in between my ribs that could be irritated which may be causing my pain. I don't have a sense of doom, fatigue, cold sweats or anything like that. But since I turned 40 I've been more aware of my mortality lol. These symptoms have lasted on and off for bout 5 days.
I'm just a little concerned so thought I'd ask the experts. Thank you in advance!
