Since Oct.4 I have been having constant chest pain. After the first week I went to the ER and had a blood test, BP check, ECG and chest CT - all of which did not show anything abnormal. I followed up with a cardiologist consultation, who said it might be pericarditis and prescribed ibuprofen. I have a echo scheduled for next month. I thought this was due to a medication I was taking for my ulcerative colitis, but I stopped taking it weeks ago and it hasn't made a difference.
The pain has continued all this time, and while it doesn't hurt much (maybe a 3/10 on the pain scale at worst) it's constant and never goes away causing me to feel very stressed and unable to sleep well.
symptoms: constant dull chest pain, shortness of breath at times, position makes only a minor difference in amount of pain, deep breaths make it more noticeable but it isn't a huge difference, my overall circulation seems worse as well
has anyone else experienced something like this? what did it end up being?
