coffee/holter monitor

Does anyone know if it's o.k to have coffee when wearing a heart holter monitor?

Marip, coffee is a stimulant, you should avoid anything with caffeine while doing the testing. I suggest that you contact the drs office & ask if a cup in the mornings would be ok. You should be given instructions prior to the testing too.

I've been wearing the monitor since Thursday afternoon. Sometimes though I forgot to push the button. Will the technician still know I had a palpitation at that time? I'm wearing a 72 hour monitor.

The data will show a palpitation regardless of whether you push the button.
