I Watch heart rate accuracy

Hey all. I was wondering what the heart rate accuracy on the I watch is?! The last few days it’s been saying my resting BPM could go as low as 46. It’s freaking me out!!

I never trust their accuracy, make an appointment with your doctor.

I always check my Apple Watch when they are checking my heart rate to compare. It’s always the same. I love it and it’s accuracy.

Cardiologist best bet. i dont trust them either. I guess i am old school. I trust me cardiologist. HT.

Pulse oximeters are fairly accurate and inexpensive - try buying one with good accuracy ratings and compare it with your watch. You could wear the oximeter while you sleep and set an alarm to go off if your HR drops below a certain level. Best of luck! CW

I just got one and when I’m still it seems to compare favorably to my pulse oximeter and BP monitor and what I know my rate usually runs like.

But if it scans when I’m moving around, it’s number seems suspicious to me. I mean it’s shown it up over 150 a couple times while I was walking, I think if my heart rate were over 150 I would probably die. What I’m thinking right now is since it’s all optical, obviously if it’s moving around on your arm very much it’s not going to be accurate.

After just a few days, again very much anecdotally, it does seem more believable over the course of the day when I have it a little bit tighter on my wrist.
