Sharp increase in troponin levels with normal angiogram

I went to the ER on the 20th of April due to feeling some lightheadness and feeling off. I work at Walmart and they have a blood pressure machine. It said my pulse was 30, 33, 27. So with having a TIA on the 1st it was decided that I should go into the ER. At this time I had no chest pains, trouble walking, or other type of symptoms I had experienced before. I had a really bad headache and slight slurred speech. In the last month I noticed I had been having trouble with shortness of breath.

At the ER they did cardiac enzyme testing. My first level came back at 105 in the latehours later 150 so they decided to have me in for obsevation. At 4 am my level went to over 900+. Than several hours later went to 600, and than 300. That night I was very short of breath. They had planned to do the angiogram the next day but than I developed a fever for a couple of days. Finally, was diagnosised with broncitous. I didn't have any cough or any mucus cough up. Just shortness of breath and wheezing.

My fever broke and the angiogram went forward. It came back normal with no blockages. I have been told I had an acute heart attack and not. They also saw on the ultrasound I had a weak heart wall

Hi SpecialNeeds, I wanted to share my experience with you. But, have you seen your cardiologist since being released from the hospital? If so, what did he have to say?

Back in 2013 I ended up in ER with shortness of breath, I have COPD. As it turned out, a blood clot had hit my left lung & my cardiac enzymes were way up there. Bottom line I had a heart attack based on that. I will be honest, I was not coherent in ER & ended up on a vent & was not responsive for 4 days. The drs said if she has family out of town you need to call them. Three years prior to this I had a cath done & I had no blockages, thankfully.

The infor that showed up on the ultrasound, go to the Mayo Clinics website & read about it there. They give accurate information, it's too much for me to put here.
