Hi greatgranny, I suggest that you get in for a consult with your cardiologist. Make a list of your current symptoms & include your medical history. The dr may want to do a complete workup if it's been awhile with testing. Depending on the results of the testing will dictate the need for any surgery. Nitro is prescribed for angina & the cardiologist should ask you if you are experienceing this.
Sorry I cannot answer your questions, we are not drs. But, a consult with your cardiologist should be your next step. Take care.
