hi, my uncle just turned 83. This past June his creatinine was 88 umol/L. In September it was 91. It is increasing 1 point every month. His eGFR is also dropping 1 point consistently every month making it 67 in September. He had a quad heart bypass when he was 77 and was on cholesterol pills which lowered it to 6.36mmol/L (total) His LDL was 4.15 which is high but he quit taking the pills because of the side effects and won't take anything for it so I imagine those numbers are higher now. His HLD is only 0.7. He hasn't cut anything out of his diet although he tries to eat in moderation, he loves red meat. Is all this a recipe for disaster? What should be done at this point?
