Hello I'm 57 years old and I have narrowing in 4 different arteries, 50-60 in 2 spots and 30-50 in the other 2. My doctor said I don't need stents because I still have good blood flow and he doesn't want to do stents until I have symptoms. I also have a hiatal hernia and Gerd which gives me chest pain at times. It's very hard to tell the difference although it happens when I'm doing nothing so I assume it's mostly my stomach issues giving me the discomfort right in the middle of my chest. Any way my brother in law just up and dropped dead unexpectedly the other day of a heart attack at 53 years old and it has me worried for my own heart issues. Should I push for the stents? My heart doctor told me the bigger blockages are not the ones heart doctors worry about
, it's the smallish ones he said that tend to rupture and totally block an artery. I'm just worried and not sure about
what to do next. Thanks for any advice. I am taking Repatha twice a month, it has done wonders for my cholesterol numbers but I am getting side-effects that I am not liking too much. But my total cholesterol right now is 120, it was 205.
